  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (hashed).
  • Order data: delivery address, order contents, payment status (card numbers are never stored — handled by Stripe).
  • Usage data: pages visited, search queries, recently-viewed items (stored locally in your browser).
  • Communications: messages you send to us, reviews you leave.

3. How we use your data

  • To fulfil and manage your orders.
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmation, status updates).
  • To personalise your experience (occasion reminders, recently-viewed products).
  • To improve the platform through aggregated analytics.
  • To comply with our legal obligations under UK law.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR: contractual necessity (fulfilment of orders), legitimate interests (platform improvement, fraud prevention), and consent (marketing emails, where applicable).

5. Data sharing

We share order details with the relevant independent shop to fulfil your order. We use Stripe for payment processing and Resend for transactional email. We do not sell your data to third parties for marketing.

6. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Order data is retained for seven years for legal and tax compliance. You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (JWT stored in localStorage) and browser localStorage for cart state and recently-viewed products. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
